My face makes me look tired
Briana, 46, psychiatrist, Austin
I have deep wrinkles in the corner of my eyes and my eyebrows are sagging which makes me look tired even though I’m not. I requested a temporal lift in order to look as good as I feel and to stop being embarrassed about my face.
The temporal lift treats skin laxity in the temples as well as aging signs developing in the corner of the eyes and eyebrows.
WHO IS IT FOR
Men and women wishing to rejuvenate the upper part of their face often request a temporal lift and a eyelid lift (blepharoplasty), these two procedures are often performed at the same time because of the effectiveness of their combined results. The surgery aims at removing crow’s feet (deep wrinkles in the corners of the eyes area) and lift the eyebrows extremities that tend to sag after a certain age.
The surgery removes excess skin, lifts the outer side of the eyebrows and tighten the skin in order to remove wrinkles. The incision is located along the hairline or behind it. The first incision is used on patients with significant excess skin and / or a receded hairline, the scar will be visible but fades well over time. The second incision allows the surgeon to hide the scar in the hairline which might be slightly retreated in order to tighten the skin.
The temporal lift can be performed as an outpatient procedure (patients can be discharged the same day of the surgery).
A temporal lift can be performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation.
Read the information sheet about the temporal lift procedure.
Bruising and swelling will develop in the temporal region. A certain tightness can also be experienced in the area. Patients can expect the final result to appear after 2 to three months. The scar along the hairline usually fades after 4 months.
LENGTH OF STAY
Patients requesting a temporal lift usually stay 5 nights / 6 days in Tunisia.
Postoperative care is provided at your hotel room and your surgeon will check up on your scar before your departure.
